The Boys go through to the Kirk Cup Final

St. Columba’s Portaferry produced a magnificent performance to reach the final of the Kirk Cup.  They defeated St. Pat’s Dungannon 6.12 to 1.7 with a performance full of passion, skill and hard work.  The performance was built on a strong performance from the St. Columba’s backline, in which Cathal Ritchie was outstanding in midfield.  Jordan Doran was again unplayable, with his skill and point taking too much for Dungannon to handle.  St. Columba’s were totally dominant throughout, with the forward line in great scoring form.  Ronan Blair was the destroyer in chief, scoring 3 goals and he was ably assisted by the powerful Brendan Hughes, who scored 2 goals.  St. Columba’s will aim to carry this performance into the Final, where they will meet St. Louis Ballymena, on the 2nd of May.
