Young Enterprise Digital Masterclass

Year 10 pupils thoroughly enjoyed the engaging Young Enterprise Digital Masterclass.

The Digital Masterclass is an exciting programme that gives young people the opportunity to develop creative ideas for the next ground-breaking app, pitch their ideas and receive feedback from industry experts.

 The Aims of the programme include;

• To create an understanding of entrepreneurship and the digital media industry
• Explore the importance of innovation and creativity
• Learn about real entrepreneurial activity from an existing local entrepreneur
• Develop team working skills
• Develop an understanding of business plans
• Encourage entrepreneurship in the digital industry as a viable career option

The Cuan Restaurant, Strangford, was represented at the event by Rory McErlean (pictured with pupils).  As winners of the ‘Certificate of Excellence’ 2014 tripadvisor award, Mr McErlean was able to share his experience as a local entrepreneur.
