Faith Friends
This year our senior pupils in year twelve visited Saint Mary’s Primary School to deliver the Faith Friends programme. This took place over a period of five weeks, beginning in February and concluding with a presentation ceremony in March.
The programme was delivered to help the primary seven pupils prepare for their confirmation. The leaders interacted with the pupils discussing their own faith and encouraged the younger pupils to discuss their faith, using various themes, such as, ‘The Holy Spirit is a Friend who Loves Us’ etc.
This programme has proven to be very beneficial, not only for the leaders but also for the primary seven pupils involved. They all enjoyed this experience which is reflected in their comments below. When asked what they had enjoyed most about the programme they wrote:
‘I enjoyed the leaders and the activities that we did’
‘It was easy and I had fun’
‘I enjoyed the laugh and the fun things we did’
‘I enjoyed the worksheets and our group leaders the most’
‘I enjoyed it because I learned more about faith and how it can be fun’
